Christian Takunda (CT) Life Foundation was founded in 2018 in memory of Christian Takunda Chipato who sadly passed away after surgery on 30 April 2015 in Zimbabwe aged 7.

Christian was born with a condition called Hirschsprung disease and struggled for most of his life through a series of hospital visits and medical treatments. Although he was a very brave and strong boy for all of his life his frail body could no longer take the long exhaustive treatments, so he gave in his life to eternity.

Christian’s dream was to become a paediatric surgeon when he grew up so that he would save lives and possibly keep them out of the hospital. Unfortunately, he didn’t live to see that vision but we the founders of CT Life Foundation decided to carry that vision.
 

Although Hirschsprung disease treatment is well advanced in developed countries, it’s sad to know that developing countries like Zimbabwe and other African countries do not have adequate resources to fully manage this condition.
